EASEMENTS

Pioneer Irrigation Company has open ditches and also underground infrastructure that runs throughout the community and is used to seasonally deliver irrigation water to shareholders. There are 32 foot easements, 16 feet each side measured from the center of the ditch, that run along the lateral ditches and are used for cleaning and maintaining the irrigation system under the jurisdiction of Apache County Superior Court. On the 2 main ditches, The Big Ditch and Amity Ditch, the easement is 100 feet, 50 feet each side measured from the center of the ditch. The easements may or may not be recorded, therefore, it is the responsibility of the landowner to contact Pioneer Irrigation and verify any information needed regarding the Pioneer Irrigation System before building if you believe there is an irrigation ditch on your property even if you do not receive irrigation. Irrigation ditches and infrastructure may not be filled in, blocked, removed, or altered in any way.
